On Saturday we went on a double date with our dear friends, Carly & Neal. Our date started at 8:15 am, when we met for Rocket lattes on the way up to the mountain. And it ended as we dragged ourselves down the mountain after three hours of cross country skiing bliss. Now how many of you can say you went on a great date, sans kids, that ended at noon? Not many, I'm guessing.
It was the first time Carly had ever skied and she did great. I love that I got to introduce her to my favorite winter sport.

And no, this double date did not count towards my resolution. Jono and I actually got a second date out Saturday night to Outback Steakhouse, compliments of one of my lovely volleyball players this fall (and our amazing babysitters, nana & grammy). The year is off to a great start ;).

You guys always have such great pictures. I love the picture of the snow on the branch and I really like both the couple pictures; what beautiful scenario all covered in snow as well as beautiful subjects :)
Looks like fun! We seriously have only gone skiing like once since the kids started popping out! It's sad to think that Darren use to be an avid skier. He is making snowboard runs on our own hill, though.
such a great morning! and, i love all of the pictures from Shadow Mountain.;) thanks so much for taking us up. love you guys!
Oh wow!!! These pics are amazing - Ken & I both are grinning huge after reading this & seeing your pics of what a fun double date! Ok, we want to go too. You guys up for a 2nd double date? (Admittedly, I am out of shape & never been cc skiing before - but we can rent skis & would LOVE to go sometime with you guys if you'd be game? :)) Love you!!! P.S. I officially am lame for not getting in touch with you last week... would love to catch up!
SUCH a great idea. Glad to hear you are getting some face time with your man! SO good to do as young parents!
