And then, to justify the last two hours of my life reading old posts and looking at pictures, I remind myself that looking back is good. I've always been a bit of a sucker for the sentimental. I love going through memory boxes and looking at old pictures and notes. I remember posting about these great discoveries quite a while back. There is something about stepping back in time - revisiting the emotions of a certain place or set of circumstances. I think I often get caught in my current world (of endless naps, diapers, meals, dishes and laundry) and lose sight of the big picture. Don't get me wrong, I love my current world, and I wouldn't trade it. It is just all too easy to start having tunnel vision. It's also easy to sit in present hurts/fears/uncertainties and slowly start to forget how God is still working. And how he has proven Himself faithful time and again.
I think this little trip down memory lane was just what I needed today. I remember that I am blessed. I remember that God is good. I remember that I have much to be thankful for. And I remember that I can trust the Lord in the midst of all the uncertainties that come my way.
And for fun, a few of my favorites in the trek through time. I narrowed it from 199 to 6. Not bad, if you ask me ;):

200! WOW! I just recently did the same and felt so full and happy afterward (and worried about my grammar!). It's fun to walk down memory lane. Have you heard of Blog2print.com? I just ordered one year from our blog to see what it would look like---not too bad. I think I'm going to order the next couple years too to keep as our family journal/scrapbook. I'm sure there are other sites out there but a friend suggested this one and I felt it was resonably priced. I did the "condensed" option to save space and money and the words don't always line up with the correct picture within a post. But other than that it turned out great. There's my little plug :) just in case you were interested! Happy 200th blog post! Cheers!
Aims,
I'm so glad you had a little time to reflect today. I know I never regret those trips down memory lane and the reminder of the faithfulness of the Lord. I reread your top 6 and laughed out loud as I often do. You are quite the writer! Thanks for sharing again.
Such a good post. You should really think of writing an article for the MOPS newsletter...you express yourself so well. ;) I'm curious how you think the MOPS scones compare to your recipe... I think I'll have to give yours a try.
