To Portland We Go

We've made a habit of venturing southwest during the fall. Devin and Larissa come our direction during the summer and over the winter holidays, so we do our best to plan a time to visit them in the fall and spring.

This past weekend we made the trek to Portland to spend a long weekend with them. A few months in baby time is like years in adulthood - Harper had changed so much in the two months we hadn't seen her! It's fun to think she and Caleb are even closer in age than Clara and Everett (4 1/2 months instead of 9 months).

As always, it was wonderful spending time with family. I'm sure we will look back on these years (with four kids under the age of four - combined) and laugh about how nap schedules kept us home-bound and how our big outings involved picnics to the park and dinner out. Between four kids there is seriously a child who is or should be napping pretty much around the clock ;). Thankfully we enjoyed great time together after the kids went to bed and we savored the time when we were all awake together! Here are a few highlights...
