Pinkalicious Party

The Saturday following Clara's birthday, we had her fourth birthday celebration. She choose the theme Pinkalicous, after one of her favorite books. On the agenda that day was basically all things pink: face paint, pink bracelet making, pink games (they were supposed to be, anyway), pink food, and a surprise appearance from the one and only Pinkalicious. Oh yes, and each party-goer was encouraged to wear pink. Everyone did. :)

The weather was gorgeous so we moved some of the party outdoors. You never know with a May 3rd birthday. It might be pouring down rain. It might be 80 degrees and sunny. This year it was the latter, thankfully.

We started the party with some face painting. I gave this task to my friend Nicole at the last minute and it was a very wise decision. All the girls got Pinkalicous cupcakes on their cheeks.
There was some pink pony bead bracelet making...
And some great photos taken with the amazing photo board, made by my dear sweet mother (P.S. It's up for grabs! Any future Pinkalicous party planners out there?!)
We moved the party inside for a very special surprise. Pinkalicious came a very long way to appear at Clara's birthday party! The girls were so surprised and thrilled! (except Clara, who was slightly confused why Pinkalicious bore such a strong resemblance to our good friend Bree. Ha!)
We went back outside for "pink games". All the pink balloons and pink spoons/eggs were ditched by the game leader (sporting the pink tie below) for a very detailed obstacle course involving tricycle riding, slack-line walking, trampoline jumping, and various other events.
We returned indoors for cupcakes and other healthy pink food options :). As well as some present opening.
And that pretty much captures the essence of our very pink party. It was fun to plan and carry out. Thank you to all crew members (below) for their help (and patience) during the Pink Mania!!
