We said goodbye to my sister and her husband...again. Since I graduated from college and moved to Colorado, we really haven't lived in the same place as Leah and Travis except for a few months here or there. Last summer we moved back home and they didn't leave for Uganda until September, so we spent about four months in the same place. Similarly, they returned from Uganda and spent another five-ish months here this summer.
Four/five months is the perfect amount of time to get connected and really used to the idea of them being here...only for them to turn around again and leave.
I don't know why it's been so hard each time to say goodbye. I have known all along of their plans. It's not as if we haven't lived apart before and there are plenty of people that live far away from their sisters.
Although it's somewhat better that they're on our continent this time, I know that this move is a bit more permanent. Not forever (I hope) but not just six months. Ugh. One would think I could be more mature/together about this, but I'm not.
This has become something like a "dear diary" entry, I think. Oh well...that's just how I'm feeling today. I miss my sister! We are purchasing our tickets for a Thanksgiving trip to Orange County, CA soon:).
