Sandpoint

For the second year in a row, we spent a long weekend in Sandpoint with the Hook crew in about the most heavenly place known to man. This was the view from the balcony. Not too shabby, if you ask me!
We spent four days of quality time together and it was pure loveliness. We swam and went on walks. Took naps and read books. Visited the farmer's market and got a breakfast date without the kids. Celebrated Anna's birthday and enjoyed delicious meals prepared together. Just slowed down and savored this beautiful time of year with some of the people we love most in the world.

And it's worth mentioning that the kids were in heaven - Clara in particular, who spent every waking hour in the pool. And with her cousin Sophia. The pool + Sophia is pretty much perfection in our little girl's mind ;). Caleb and Hunter had a great time together too - although their play involved stealing things from each other and occasionally giving tackle bear hugs. Next year they will be doing more together than side-by-side play which will be fun to watch.

Here is our time together, a bit randomly organized, in pictures...

They played nonstop

What a wonderful weekend it was! It's September where I sit (I know the published date is a lie - thanks to backlogging ;)) and I would give anything to reverse the clock and go back. We will just have to look forward to next year!
